Finally - Wireless Headset for Conferencing and Hi-Fi Audio

I'm picky when it comes to headsets and headphones. I'm on conference calls most of the day. If not, I'd like to enjoy some music. Well, I like a lot of music, but it's hard to fit into the time available. I've been waiting 5 years for a great wireless headset that combines conference calling with hi-fi music and can switch between a physical phone and a PC. . I have excellent headphones (Sennheiser HD 650), but the headsets have only ever been used for conference calls. FINALLY something here to balance the two. At first I was skeptical. My requirements were: * Mute button with external visual indicator when powered on * High quality for listening to music * Ability to pair with multiple devices (phone + PC) * All day comfort * Boom with good microphone sound quality. It ticks all the boxes that weren't clear from reading other reviews. These are in-ear headphones with a great mic and a mute button! I was concerned about the visual indication that the mute button was on. The general approach is to show through the Plantronics Hub app when used with a PC softphone, which doesn't work for my use case (I have a Cisco DX80 videophone and prefer not to use a softphone). A neat trick is that the included BT600 USB glows a different color when muted. Even better, if I plug this USB dongle into my Cisco DX80 and pair the headset with the BT600 instead of the DX80, the DX80 recognizes it as a USB phone, and when I mute it, I get a visual indication from the DX80 that I am mute. This is HUGE for me. Also, another cool feature is that it yells at me when I'm talking on mute. Sometimes this can be done on purpose, but don't worry, you can disable it using the Plantronics Hub app. These headphones support the aptX codec for wireless Hi-Fi sound quality. So I can jam to Steely Dan's Aja when I'm not on a conference call and it sounds great. These headphones are reminiscent of the Backbeat Senses I had before, but they weren't an adequate headset solution as the mic placement wasn't ideal for conferencing use. These headphones can't match the accuracy of my HD60s, but the comfort is 90% and the sound quality is the best I've had from a multitasking headset. The headset is very comfortable. Soft leather and no hard pressure on ears or headband. I'm a big fan. It took some patience to wait for something like this. I've been a fan of Plantronics headsets and headphones for a while.
