Noise cancellation is a marketing gimmick. Search Youtube for "Plantronics Voyager Legend Review: Does It Suck?" and hear everything for yourself. It's fiction, myth, legend, if you will. And your feelings are a placebo with admixtures of politeness of interlocutors. Everything said about it exactly repeats my feelings from using the Plantronics 975, which I considered defective for a long time. Skype/Viber/Hangouts on the iPhone 5, 5S and half a dozen phones from different manufacturers (from Nokia on Symbian to Android) simply do not use the noise reduction algorithm. The difference between the native wired granite iPhone 5 and this one in Skype is catastrophic: noises and pickups are heard on the wireless one, there is no silence in principle, the voice is distorted. For serious conversations, this is simply unacceptable. When talking on the phone (not Voip), the sound quality improves, but still does not reach the level of the wired headset from the kit. Noise cancellation has not changed much since the 975 for 5 years: only a monotonous hum is choking. Any dynamic noise with varying volume will cause the volume of your voice to become floating to the other party. The wind is still a problem, and harsh breathing too. The rustling of a package (it doesn't matter, plastic or paper) at night during a conversation can shock the interlocutor just like on a simple wired headset. Sharp beats in the background almost always miss, flavoring everything with a loss in the volume of your voice. Conclusion: there are no miracles. This headset will not drown out real noise. For Skype or Viber, this is a real nightmare, simple headphones from the kit will show a crystal clear sound in comparison with this ratchet. I recommend that those who wish to buy take a closer look at the models for 1/2 the price, they will perform their task not much worse, and it will be twice as easy to lose. And yes, I do not have a defective copy. The store showed me three headsets when I suggested a marriage. This is not marriage, this is quality. Willing to pay for useless voice features - please. Siri and a regular headset on the wire will give a greater effect.
