They seem smaller than I thought, but I measured and they are (more or less) true. The 7" is actually 1/4" longer and the 9" is maybe 1/4" shorter, but for the most part the measurements are correct. The ends of the bags are slightly sloped down towards the shorter length (maybe half an inch overall per bag), so these measurements refer to the opening of the zipper and not the bottom of the bag, which is slightly shorter. The materials are durable. , Zippers of good quality. I put my bike tools in mine and the sharp end of the screwdriver can't penetrate the materials. However, sharp chisels or cutting tools like an X-Acto knife can cut it. The material is only colored on one side (the back is black), but on the other side there is a colored band along the zipper, so you can easily distinguish them from both sides. . If I put something valuable in it I wouldn't hang it on the small clip BUT hanging this bag from the hanging loop on the side of your truck makes it easy to replace the clip with something more durable.
