*updated 06/2018: Docking another star - I am convinced that Purina made a formula change when they took over the brand. While my 3 dogs still happily eat it, I don't think the formula change is worth the cost. My dogs shed more than before. Original Review: I've been buying this line for several years. Downgrading 1 star for the following changes I've noticed in my last 3 packs of 25# chicken and turkey recipes: The pellets are much darker than before - I thought I accidentally bought the beef/pork pellets - and are rounder . Also, it seems to be covered with dust. At first I thought it was because the bags were a little wrinkled in transit but no small pieces showing - I think it's the formula and it was a bit messy with it and dust/dog saliva stuck to their bowls. requires some soaking afterwards. I like this brand as it is well tolerated by dogs. I find that on the "poop patrol" with pellet changes, the results were a bit crumbly and harder to grasp - almost like there was a lot of roughage or bedding. The last time we bought a bag of duck feed everything seems fine.
