broken and hanging yarn

My 5mm broke while finishing a small plant hanging project and this was my first time using this crochet hook. The other is larger (9mm) and catches my yarn in the very first stitch. The whole set was bought for a project that required 9mm and it was my main chainring that it hooked onto. Good idea, regular container (low quality but mostly working) but I didn't have the other 5mm tonight and my twas project is almost done! I resent having very little free time and not enjoying the finished project I would have if I could crochet another 15 minutes. Now I can wait for the job to get done (six days a week) and take the time to buy a reliable hook so I can finish my project. Get the best set.
