The lens is quite controversial, its sharpness is comparable to 18-55, in some places it even seems to me that in poor lighting, the staffer wins. The lens, like the entire line for eos m, is made of high quality plastic, so it is lightweight. The assembly, like the rest of the lenses, is on top. The fact that when you turn it on you need to bring the lens into a "combat position" is very unpleasant, precious seconds are wasted, for me it is a very controversial decision to make the lens shorter than 18-55 by 4 mm, it would be better if they did it by a centimeter without this bad disclosure. It is not clear why the lens has its own cover, which does not fit the other three, because it is larger in size. It will most likely replace my 18-55 for landscape photography while traveling, due to the focus speed, it is noticeably faster than with 18-55, time will tell.
