You know the saying, I'm embarrassed to fool myself. But for some reason I thought I would try this color TWICE and both times resulted in super dry, frizzy and damaged hair. I wish I had had the positive experiences that others are having, but I'm just unlucky with this brand. The first time I tried Bigen permanent hair color was about 6 years ago when I had chemically weakened and highlighted hair. Going back to my natural curly hair and wanting to blend the two textures better, I decided to dye my relaxed, highlighted hair black to better match my new growth. What I was left with were instant dreadlocks! LITERALLY. I ended up using scissors that day to cut my shoulder length bob and the next day I went to the barber to get a proper deep cut, about 2 inches lower. Yes. No conditioner seemed able to heal my parched, tangled hair. It was absolutely awful. And you think I'll learn, but fast forward 6 years and I'm afraid I'll have to trim my now spiral bra straps again. I bought 3 boxes of this color to make sure all my hair was covered as I have quite a lot of hair and I lightened the ends for a spring and summer tanned look. Again, I was up for all the dark black hair in the cooler months. Reading the reviews I used this Bigen permanent hair color and thought maybe this time it would be different as my hair was not relaxed and of course my hair was sooooo dry and tangled. I've spent so much money to fix my hair. and restore its moisture but I'm wondering if I need to cut it again but this time 6 years of amazing hair growth. What's even worse is how easily my hair gets tangled from being so dry with this color. It feels like whatever I wear on it just sits on it, or just ends up drying and matting my hair. It's terrible. I followed the directions but in the end my hair reacted horribly to this color. I've used other brands that don't dry my hair that much and I was expecting amazing results from this one as it's supposed to be natural and has all these great reviews but whatever it is my hair doesn't agree at all. In any case, proceed with caution and do a pre-test on a small section that you like to cut just in case to make sure your hair takes this product well. For me, that's a complete bust, and I'm in the box. But, fooled me twice, shame on me :'(
