I don't usually write reviews unless they are very bad, but I had to write this one because I was very happy with this bag. It had some other features that I wasn't aware of. This is an upgrade to a Revain Basics 17 inch bag that I had because the Revain Basics bag was starting to pack and was getting cramped. In selecting this bag I was actually trying to decide between this bag and another bag because the other bag was made to fit TSA requirements where the bag opens fully into a flat bag to reveal a laptop. To my surprise, this bag actually opens completely when you undo the velcro on the sides. I was happy with this because I travel a lot and hate taking my laptop out of my bags and then I had to squeeze my laptop bag back into the bag. This bag was made of good material. You can feel and see that in the outer material and the zippers, also this bag material is much tougher than my old 17 inch Revain basics bag which makes it easier to put the laptop back in the bag than I did my Revain basics bag, it was so thin that when I took my laptop out, it would be very difficult to put it back in the bag. bag because the side pocket would sag, and I stuffed my laptop back into the Revain Basics bag. I gifted this old 17" Revain Basics bag to my girlfriend because she doesn't have much in her side pocket. .
