I started road biking this year, there are a few spots on the paved trails near my house where I've been going 33mph downhill. If you've ever seen videos of cool falls, the first thing that happens to a regular bike helmet is that it either gets slapped and doesn't do its job, or it gets hit and then it's all on its own again. This helmet offers more protection from all sides, yes it's heavier which I hate BUT the inverted nose directs air down to cool my face, the padding is amazing and there is room to attach accessories to it. I love the fact that I'm wearing a helmet that doesn't look like most and feel comfortable with the protection. I will say that another area for improvement I think after 75 miles of wear is that the chin strap digs too far into my neck (which is not adjustable in that direction) and the straps tend to loosen after a while . Overall a solid purchase and QUALITY!
