This helmet is very well padded. It has a strip of plush padding that wraps completely around your head. I ride a road bike so I use the visor in the raised position to have a better view of the road. The visor connects to the padding and seems to wick sweat away from my eyes. Bonus in Texas summer temperatures.

Medium black helmet with a perfect fit. This helmet is very light and very breathable when riding, with a BOA ratchet strap on the head the helmet fits perfectly to prevent unwanted wobbling during sudden sprints. Materials and workmanship are second to none thanks to good quality control in Bern. Will definitely buy Bern again.

Helmets are compulsory when cycling, especially on roads. I was looking for something that would protect my head and look stylish. I looked at a few different helmets and fell in love with this one. Not only the design is great, the visor also really serves its purpose. It's easy but safe. It's a helmet but with a cool design. I would recommend this helmet. It won't break the bank.

The first helmet arrived with heavy wear and tears on the sides near the shoulder straps. Brought it back as a replacement (It's like digging up a helmet, I appreciate the head it protects more) The replacement helmet that arrived looked worse than the first. The inside looked like a kid was fumbling around with scissors and glue stick and as a bonus the entire helmet had significant marks/cracks. Page with significant wear/damage.

Overall I really like the fit and finish of the helmet. Nice and light, lots of ventilation. What keeps this from 5 stars for me is the fact that the helmet has an indicator that says "Removable Flip Up Visor" which is true, but the visor is sewn into the head strap adjustment system so you take both off and the helmet is useless without it. I started road biking this year, there are a few spots on the paved trails near my house where I've been going 33mph downhill. Accuracy of fit. My wife bought the medium sized Bern Watts and they fit me perfectly with the open attitude. I tested Bern Macon in Medium and it fits perfectly. After ordering this Allston in medium, it was too tight. Came back for more and with 30% on the slider it fits great. This might be a plus as I now have room for a balaclava for cold riding.
