Ideal for Aliner (Ranger/Classic). The original tongue lifter always gave me trouble getting it to the correct height on the Explorer. I would have had to use a less-than-optimal hitch, which would have caused the trailer to tilt slightly (from the car to the rear of the Aliner). If we were to use a hitch that levels the trailer, we would not be able to detach the wheel from the jack tongue as it would not retract far enough. I was able to raise the trailer so that the rear bumper almost touched the ground, but I couldn't pull it in far enough to remove the wheel. Finding a jack with a very short stack height on the tongue was not easy. With this jack I have enough space to take a wheel off the jack so I can level the trailer on the car. Since this is a standard jack with a 3-hole drawbar, the exchange went very quickly.
