I had never used a natural sea sponge before purchasing this sponge. I liked that the price was reasonable and I knew I was getting a quality product and not something from overseas that I assumed was a sponge so I gave it a try. It has a very smooth and luxurious feel. Doesn't peel but is very gentle on the skin. The size is small, so if you have small hands or kids, it would be good for them. It appeared to be a quality sponge that would hold up to multiple showers. I personally prefer a big sponge, so next time I'd go for a big one, but that's a personal choice and has nothing to do with the quality of the sponge itself. If you are new to sponges and tired of plastic puffs, this is a great sponge.
