I used this bag for the first time at a sporting event. I found it very roomy, and held about everything I could want--My Nikon w/lens; a 300mm zoom lens and I chose to tuck my wallet in the other compartment (rather than another lens). The front pocket is useful for all the odds and ends (lens cleaner, spare cards, car keys and so on. These two compartments zipper shut, so they are quite secure, although I wish the smaller pocket had dual zippers as the larger opening did. The flap over the top was added security (and glad to have it during the down pour after the event--which I didn't expect, so left the protective rain cover at home). Water seemed to bead off so my camera was protected.However, during use, the lower part of the straps slipped through the guiding loops, and I noticed them dragging down, so I had to remember to keep snapping them before moving around. These are a tad awkward, but can get used to them. The strap was wide and comfortable--I wore it over my neck.shoulder for security. Overall, it was a relief to have everything in one place, much easier to keep track of in a crowd.The only reason I docked it one star is the side pockets. The only thing I could figure out to put in them was cough drops. They are extremely "thin" and simply won't hold anything substantial.maybe a small notebook, or lens cleaning cloth, but that's about it. It is a shame, as due to the detailing on them, I really expected they would be more functional (holding a water bottle would have been awesome!).
