Ok, so I'm a camera bag hoarder. It's a sickness. But I had to buy something I could carry-on a cross-country flight (gear *never* gets checked) & I still needed a regular carry-on. Good thing too, since my checked bag got to take a 10 day side trip to Panama on the way back (and that's why gear never gets checked ;) ) Anyway, my research led me to this jewel. Not only was I able to fit 2 Canon bodies in it (I added a foam divider), but I was also able to fit 24-70mm & a 100mm lenses, 3 batteries, battery charger, memory card book, medications, a book, an iPhone, 2 apple chargers AND my iPAD, which is in a Garmin military grade case (meaning it's HUGE). If its ability to comfortably carry all that wasn't enough, there's also the protective cover provided for bad weather.I personally ran it through the ringer on my trip. The thing that impressed me most was its ability to withstand wind & sand. My trip led me to a beach in the Pacific NW. On that day I stumbled up a sand dune (read: small mountain), tripped back down to be met by 45 mph gusts blowing off the Pacific (nature's sandblaster with a saltwater wash) before I gave up & retraced my steps. This bag withstood being dropped into the sand multiple times (oh, the horror!) & not one grain made it into any of the interior pockets/sections. I honestly don't know how it was possible that no sand got in the bag considering the struggle I had & the number of times I fell getting up & over that Mt. St. Helen of a sand dune, but. no sand.Would I change anything about the bag? Sure. I'm a bag hoarder. I've never had one I wouldn't like to modify in some way. But this is the only one I've ever been this happy with. Its abilities are well beyond what are advertised & if you're looking for a very functional, durable, protective messenger bag, this is your winner.
