Very useful for protecting and weatherproofing cables.
I am currently using a backyard hydroponics setup and am using a few extensions to get there. From time to time GFCI worked, which is somewhat harmful to plants. I suspected water might have gotten into one of the plugs, so I bought them. Since then no problems! During installation I noticed a colony of ants trying to live in the female end of one of the connectors! Probably the cause of the problem. Every terrarium now has insect killer pellets just in case! They look pretty too, but I keep confusing the ones in the garden with a large cucumber.
