HDMI to VGA adapter well packaged. Yes, the device looks good from the outside. Unfortunately, when I plugged it in, I found that the picture was intermittent and distorted. Thinking it would need more power I used a USB cable, but unfortunately that didn't help. I then tried the adapter on two more computers just to see if the problem was with the laptop, the problem persisted. I discussed the issue of a refund but curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to see what was going on with him. When I opened it and looked under the magnifying glass, I noticed that the VGA connection wasn't soldered so well. A few pins were barely soldered to the board. A quick re-solder fixed the problem for a while, until stressing the connector caused it to fail again.
