Hat Vibe Sunscreen

StriVectin Multi-Action Super-C SPF 30 Vitamin C Moisturizer and Daily Sunscreen comes well packaged in a box. It looks and feels like sunscreen when applied - it's a beige cream that turns white and a little thick. You need to massage it in for a few minutes before it gets absorbed. The cream appears to be moisturizing but definitely has sun protection and would be good to use when going out. It has a citrus aroma, pleasant and unobtrusive. It seems to lighten the skin a bit. I'm a little worried about the ingredients list. Mutli-Action contains several active ingredients: avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene. These are chemicals that can be absorbed into the bloodstream, although "the jury is still out" on whether or not they are harmful in trace amounts. It also contains Yellow 5 and Red 40, both of which are totally unnecessary in a skincare product in my opinion. Do your research and make sure the ingredients are right for you. There's no mention of whether or not it contains parabens, and nowhere on the packaging does it say if it's natural or safe. With so many great natural/herbal products on the market at comparable prices, I'm not sure StriVectin Multi-Action is a good choice for me. However, it says it is reef safe and recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation. Made in the USA. court
