Review on Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS STM Lens Review & Best Deals for Canon SLR Cameras by Eunu AT ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

Compared with whale Canon 18-55, 55-250 turned out to be darker. Much darker. Somewhere on the 2nd step! Absolutely the same conditions. Yellow. Not tragic, but noticeable. Especially in comparison with the whale. In Photoshop-e, the balance for outputting to Canon 18-55 had to be shifted to cyan by + 12%. Sharpness is exactly the same. 55-250 turned out to be a little more contrasting. Loves the world. Sharpens instantly. It feels like he does it faster than you have time to press the shutter button. At the same time it is absolutely silent. So at first I doubted whether he, in general, works or not? The image stabilizer is fully functional. On the long end, 1/100 works without question. I didn’t notice a difference from 1/800, no matter how I peered into the crop. Filmed by hand. But he tried. Diaphragm. 4 is slightly soapy. Since 6.3 everything is fine. Those. in general, it makes sense to shoot in aperture priority mode by setting 6.3-8. Aperture 4 is great for portraits. The perfect portrait! In general, of course, simple. The picture quality itself (sharpness, color balance) is not outstanding. Well, the price is also low. At the same time, it works surprisingly cheerfully or something. So don't hesitate, take it. You will not regret. You won't find better for this price.

Pros
  • Silently and quickly focuses. Compact. working stabilizer.
Cons
  • Dark.
