Review on πŸ” Fujinon Techno-Stabi 16X28 Binoculars: Revolutionizing Optics for Ultimate Precision and Stability by Ryan Saxton

Sturdy binoculars

I needed sturdy, compact binoculars that I could take with me to the field. The problem was that each of the many magnification units of 10x and up was too heavy to hold. Another option was to upgrade to a pair of image stabilizers. They were all huge and cost more than two or three pounds. Then came the Fujinon Techno Stabilizer. The size of ordinary binoculars. And about a pound. This is compliant. They have a 16x magnification and a + or -3ΒΊ stabilization system. They're well built and have the ability to focus at close range from around 11ft, which is quite a lot at 16x magnification. You can keep an eye out for ants or butterflies if there is no elusive game nearby. The picture is clear. It's also a bit dark in low light. They are best used during the day or under strong artificial lighting such as stadium and track lights. The stabilization works constantly and is very stable, but not as reliable as on a tripod - it provides natural movement and smooths out the image. There are a few things that suck. First, they're barely IPX2 waterproof. I broke one of my Pelican cases and keep it inside. I'm a flat water kayaker and I think I can get away with this setup. Eyepiece caps are individual and do not stick. I use a pair of caps I made out of rubber caps, they fit and match. (connected in the middle). They are small compared to IS. You have to hold them in your hands to appreciate what they have achieved here. You are reliable. No hanging innards or loose fittings. All joint parts are rigid if not too rigid. The focus knob is smooth and firm with no play. In general I am very happy with them. The 16's performance is amazing and can really be controlled thanks to the image stabilization system that makes it easier to use. If you are looking for something similar. Check it. For the price of a quality pair of binoculars with normal vibration, you can be absolutely sure with IS.
