Good product. on pipe fittings

I grew up the scion of a hardcore plumber. Learned at Mapp at the respectable age of 5 how to smelt brass fittings into copper. Running copper lines and angled compression stops while my dad napped in the truck. Have done it for years. Thank god for the energy of youth and deserving of cheeseburgers. I recently replaced the toilet and ordered a pair of these corner stops with a compression stop in my pocket just in case. I am impressed. Really impressed. I removed the old compression stop and ferrule with an old stripper, smoothed the 1/2 inch copper with 400 grit sandpaper, and then applied steel wool to it. I noticed that although the copper was pure, it still had a slight groove from the 30 year old compression tab. I hesitantly pushed the new Sharkbite stopper onto the copper and it landed where I expected it to. My internal confusion was that the fitting was still rotating around the copper pipe after installation. it later turned out that this was not a problem unless the nut on the stop was unscrewed. The O-ring sealed. After the pressure rose and was checked, I hooked up the toilet line without incident. Valve turned on and off several times without breaking the seal. Clue I used another Sharkbite valve that I ordered to test for abuse and finding the limit. I can honestly say I couldn't do it with a clean and "semi-polished" interface - the corner stop doesn't work. currently used in the same bathroom on a different copper line. Good product. I will never tighten compression valves while waiting for a drip again. Please send me a dozen. I want to replace all the corner stops in my house.
