I just bought this device, and I got it since it has a high antenna gain in the hopes that it will give me a strong transmitter. In addition to that, I was interested in purchasing a product with a white shell. Nevertheless, it was discovered that none of the household gadgets (phones, laptop, and TV) receive a signal from the router in the room in the back of our apartment that is around 70 square meters in size. After that, I learned that the dBi meter only displays the gain of the antenna in one direction, although the signal strength can be significantly reduced in other directions. Because of its usefulness in marketing, the gain of an antenna is typically expressed in dBi. It was necessary for me to get a Zyxell that was more pricey. In spite of the fact that it had 3 dBi less, it had a higher power rating than TP-Link. It is sad that the producer deceives customers in such a way. As a result, this piece of equipment can only be advised for use in somewhat compact dwellings.
