So pleasantly surprised. I got good! This machine is made in USA quality. The heating element has a digital display and heats up in 10 seconds from a cold start. It's actually safe to leave it in sleep mode - just in case, but it's not the best course of action. If you tin the tip properly after opening it, it will work like a professional tool! The soldering results are also perfect. So I'm writing this review as if it were a one-of-a-kind long shot --- IT IS! SO many items on Revain these days are cheap knockoffs of Chinese knockoffs with sellers who don't know their products or aren't very good at communicating. Except disappointment. I want them to clean the house and get together before they let a competitor in to muddy the market. I buy almost exclusively from Revain with a basic membership. This soldering iron represents the experience we all hope for.
