This is a reasonably strong briefcase for light materials. It has a Velcro closure and is lightly coated with a plasticized finish. It doesn't hold a lot of water, but it's ok for light splashes. I've had this one for a while and it's been used pretty hard. I ordered what I thought was the same in red (I don't care the color and red was cheaper) and they are not the same. The red one has no velcro, is made of plain paper and has a slightly smaller gusset. Given what I know now, I'd spend a little more for a different blue (assuming it's the exact same one I got the first time).
