I gave up my cable TV and used the rabbit ear antenna on my Scepter TV to get digital channels off the air. I live in Atlanta, I have about 25 channels. After receiving this receiver, I connected the same antenna with bunny ears and received about 65 channels. The antenna that came with the device is good too, but I wanted to see how it works with a very simple antenna. The RF reception sensitivity seems good and rarely blocks macro shots. I use the HDMI output for my TV and the 1080 mode is good and I get a good quality picture. The user interface is good. It shows a list of all channels, and you can also set up a favorites list for quick access to frequently used channels. EPG is very good. It has DVR function but I haven't tried it yet.
