Longtime Owner - Couldn't be happier

I don't like posting reviews until I've used/owned a product for a while. I bought them 2 1/2 years ago for a trip to border waters and have used them many, many times since. I've been very happy every time I've used them and they remain 100% waterproof. In fact, I wanted a pair of "over the calf" waterproof socks and looked at the same brand/company first to see if they had an "I" (they did, and I bought). What you need to know: When you first step into deep water, your feet "feel" that they're wet, but they're not. When you take off the socks and feel your feet, they are completely dry. These are thought provoking socks, it's like wearing 2-3 wool socks per foot in thickness, so you may need a boot or shoe size one size up (I wear shoes but no boots) . I wash like normal socks. But I don't use the dryer for my personal preference. I don't know what the manufacturer suggests, but I just prefer to be safer and feel better turning them inside out and hanging. will take a long time. If it's very hot or your feet are sweating profusely, you know this will stay in the sock. In my own experience, they absorb light sweat well, but not more than that. And besides, yes of course, if the water goes over the toe you have a boot full of water which is not difficult/expected. This has happened to me a few times (so why buy a knee high pair) but at least the water warms up to body temperature quickly so that's not a bad thing. And then I just flip them over, hang them on a string for a couple of hours or overnight, and they're clean and dry, ready for the next use. Overall: I'm very, very happy with my purchase - enough to definitely buy from them again for an updated version (for me). This bottom pair will still be my go-to hiking sock without waterproof boots and has higher water resistance than most boots. In my opinion a higher pair would be better suited for border waters (out of the canoe several times a day/deep diving in lakes/etc.).
