The upholstery is flat, but still a decent chair.
The child likes it very much, so it's a big plus. It took a day or two to get used to, but now it's a great thing to run and crash on or just sit on. The padding/upholstery at the very front is starting to flatten out a bit so that it is no longer completely flat but is sloping heavily. I suspect I'll have to re-stuff the front soon to make it look like a chair.
