Needs modification, longer range not shorter

Build quality seems pretty good. I installed them on a 2004 Harley Davidson Dyna. The brake lever hole for the pivot was slightly narrower on these than on my stock lever. As a result, I had to sand the inside of the hole because the plastic gasket was pinching the kingpin so badly that I couldn't even fully install the bolt. The clutch lever worked fine, except that when relocating the leaf spring to these levers, the thread for the small mounting screw did not match the lever shaft screw. I bought them hoping that the adjustability would allow me to set them closer to the grips than the stock levers, but this is the minimum adjustment point and they can only be extended farther than the stock levers. Also, the main detent is further back on them, so my middle finger is placed there, not in that part, and my index finger should sit on the lever. A squarer profile than the stock lever allows you to be confident your fingers won't slip.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
