Review on πŸ”₯ iCraft Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive: Ultra Strong Bonding Solution, 2.1 Fl oz by Kelsey Brown

Pretty good, but a bit too thick for thin lines and small handwriting

So I wanted to add some glitter to the edges of some of my silk scarves. I chose this liquid as it is my best choice for gold foiling fabric. Decorative foil works well as it appears to stretch with the fabric and can withstand the heat of the iron (note: I've always made sure to have a piece of teflon between my iron and the foil or glue). After applying the foil, I ran a medium-sized iron over where I foiled (with a teflon screen in between, of course) to "fix" it a bit on the fabric and to seal up any places where the glue had dripped smooth. I also soaked a test piece of fabric that I gilded and the foil didn't come off. I found that the tip of the applicator was putting too much glue on the fabric for the size I wanted, so I ended up applying it to the fabric with a thin brush. Unfortunately, this tends to "push" the adhesive into the fabric, causing it to soak into the fabric and darken it where the adhesive is thinnest and where your design will be less tacky and less tacky. therefore sticks less to the foil; but places where you can apply a thicker layer of glue with your brush will stick easily. (I've attached a photo, but it's very difficult to get the darkened, unfoiled areas of the fabric visible on camera) I didn't have to wait 1-2 hours after applying the glue because the way I got it applied with a brush, much less glue was required so it "cleared" in just 10 minutes after application. I used the back of a spoon to flatten the decal sheet and let it fully adhere to the glue. It wasn't ideal as I needed it thinner and also didn't sink into the fabric as quickly; but it didn't "bleed" or give me any stickiness issues on the wrong side of the fabric; and despite small areas of darkened non-foil fabric, the free form and very small size of my drawings do not allow for problem areas that are very noticeable. I am very happy with the overall effect. Plus, there are no strong smells or fumes to worry about. In short, I am very happy with this decal and liquid glue and look forward to experimenting further.
