Well first of all I was a bit hesitant to buy it after all the very bad reviews. But after receiving them, I have to admit that the quality assurance has improved. All darts are free from defects other than the blades being a little compressed and bent but they just need retraining. The knurling is only good for a sure throw so they don't get caught on the throw. And the threads are good for the waves too, they stretch well and don't get lost often I've found. They are way better than the cheap darts that come with most dartboards. I got her to play darts with my friends who are bad at it and often miss the board. So now they can use these cheap darts instead of being stupid and ruining my good set. and it makes sense that if something breaks I can just swap out parts or take the whole thing out. Overall perfect for beginners.
