Just started working with PEX tubing. All PEX instructions include the need to use a PEX cutter for smooth, square, and precise cuts. I tried using standard copper pipe cutters, they worked and seemed to work well but were very time consuming. PEX tubing is only slightly harder than butter at room temperature, and this machine cuts like butter in seconds. It took me longer to undo the metal wire clip that was holding the jaws closed. After using the cutter, I found that I couldn't use the existing clip to reclose the jaws, it was too tight for that. I'm going to use a velcro loop around the handles to replace this, which I've done for most of my pliers. No stars are deducted, the device works well and I can easily change the deposit.
