It works well and is cheap. Not to cut

Great product. It cuts easily and requires very little effort. The ends of the cut literally shine because they cut very smoothly. The tip will not come out perfectly square, but the result is within the working range of any fitting on the market. Whether push-in, clamp or compression fittings, this cutter is perfect for your application. Obviously, however, it should never be used for circumcision.

Amazing for the price!

I bought these PEX cutters to install a water system on our van. As I figured they would be used to install our little plumbing system one weekend, I figured it might be worth sacrificing some performance and saving some money. Well, these cutters cut through 1/2-inch PEX like warm butter without deforming the pipe. I don't know how long they will last but they were perfect for our short term needs. Great value for us.

Very sharp! Warps pipe slightly when cutting

I have used it to cut 3/4" PEX. The extreme sharpness allows the blades to slide through the pipe like butter, but due to the small size of the jaws it wasn't easy to get them.Really square cuts I wish the jaws were a little bigger and I'd like the underside of the jaw where the pipe is a little wider so the pipe doesn't deform when you cut it.this is accurate enough for the occasional home use.

Manufacturing defect but once fixed fantastic tool

My iCrimp cutter had contour burrs that grip the tube so they could easily pierce thinner tube. Their tension was also too tight so they didn't fully open. Finally, the position of the striker bar is such that you have to squeeze the handle hard to get it on the grip. I've filed the ridges, adjusted the tension and firing pin and now it's a 10. But the sharpening has taken away the paint. I hope your tool is much better in terms of quality control.

Excellent value for half the price of similar models

This is a mature, robust tool that performs well above its price. I compared it to several other models and was initially concerned that it was half the price. I made my decision based on what other reviewers have posted and I can report that I totally agree with their high ratings and positive feedback. It worked flawlessly cutting multiple diameters of PEX pipe during a recent remodel at my house. I would buy it again and absolutely recommend this product to my friends.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Slices like butter in hand tools

This is a really great pipe cutting tool. It cuts PEX pipes like butter. Spring tension and recoil are nice and soft. Unlike other PEX pipe cutting tools, this one is not made of plastic, has a nice metal handle and is not heavy. in it I want a really straight and smooth cut. When I tested this cutter, it left a small rounded edge. After some practice with this tool, I finally got an even and smooth cutting edge. So just be patient and take your time with it. It's really worth the money and…

Works well but wears out quickly

I've been using this for Pex-B tubing and it started to wear out after about a week or two on a multi-line home project. I have other old PVC and plastic hose cutters that seem to work just as well. I bought this to make sure I had something that fits the specs, but honestly most curved pipe cutters will work if you're diligent. Care must be taken when doing this, as the cutting angle can easily not be straight. (The beauty of working with PEX is that if you don't succeed at first, you just cut

but it cuts PEX very easily. I don't have big hands

I've only used it a few times but it cuts PEX very easily. I don't have big hands but I can pick it up and cut it with one hand. The only downside to this cutter is that it barely opens wide enough for 1" PEX. Make sure you know exactly where you want to cut, then slide the pipe over the guard at that point, as the blade will Goes deeper into the pipe than I prefer, once you put the cutter on the pipe, no adjustment is needed, but this problem also has positive consequences: no fear of the…

Runs smooth and precise, bracket too tight for storage

Just started working with PEX tubing. All PEX instructions include the need to use a PEX cutter for smooth, square, and precise cuts. I tried using standard copper pipe cutters, they worked and seemed to work well but were very time consuming. PEX tubing is only slightly harder than butter at room temperature, and this machine cuts like butter in seconds. It took me longer to undo the metal wire clip that was holding the jaws closed. After using the cutter, I found that I couldn't use the…
