Very narrow beam, noisy radio interference

The beam on them is very narrow. Almost exactly as described in the listing so I think it's accurate but it's hard for me to see how useful it really is. I was expecting a little more spread, but they seem even more focused than regular headlights. This means if your headlights were that narrowly focused you wouldn't be safe on the road because you wouldn't be able to see much more than what's directly in front of you. I was hoping and expecting that they would look more like typical high beams or fog lights so I'm not sure what I'm going to use them for. The cables are nice and flexible, and it's nice that they offer a watertight disconnect. The cord from the flashlight to the plug is really long, which may work for some people, but will be too long for others (e.g. 18 inch wire). The actual wires inside are 18 AWG at best, maybe thinner, but there's a lot of thick insulation around them, making them appear larger than they are. They only draw 2 A, so 18 AWG is fine (would be fine if it wouldn't be comically large diameter cables). generate quite a bit of radio interference on VHF and UHF, which is annoying for those of us with radios. It's not uncommon for these lights, but given their price I was definitely hoping they would be better than they are. They look and feel pretty good, which is nice, but the market is pretty crowded these days. - narrow radiation pattern, I will evaluate them in three steps: everything is fine.
