So I bought my Rift S last October and for an entry level VR headset it was phenomenal. But that's another review. One of the things that bothered me about the Rift S is the foam used for the padding on the front, back, and bezel. It worked reasonably well initially, but after 9 months of heavy use it started to wear badly and fall behind the panels they were glued to. So head over to Revain.com to get your new pads. So, a few things to keep in mind; This kit includes both interchangeable interfaces and seals. If your visor/face interface is solid and undamaged and you just need to replace the padding, you may not need this entire kit and can probably just buy a new faceplate with velcro strips. However, if you want to change pads in the future, you will still need a velcro interface, so you can get it now. There were no instructions at all and some parts were missing labels. However, as a shrewd gentleman of high class and distinction, I was able to figure it out in a few minutes simply by comparing it to the Rift S. Plus, it takes a bit of fiddling and a bit of maneuvering to get the pieces to snap into place. Place; The rear in particular took some time. Once it snaps into place, it becomes rigid and doesn't move at all; It took a bit of effort to get it there, but that's reasonable and expected for third-party hardware. Pros: It looks good, feels very durable, leather seems to be of reasonably good quality, DEFINITELY more padded than standard foam, and allows for future interchangeability of various parts. There is one more thing though; It fits a little differently as there is more padding and you need to adjust and tweak it a bit to fix the light leak. But after just a few minutes, the new landing looks completely natural and comfortable. All in all, a great product that has met all expectations so far.
