For some reason I don't like taking long distance shots so I only use two lenses on my 6400, this lens and a Sigma 16mm. 16 is wide so I don't use 50mm when not in use so I can get out and shoot in most conditions. There are many other reviews so I won't bother with them. Yes, the lens captures every nuance of the moment perfectly, as everyone says. However, there is one thing I would like to emphasize for the next person who might consider this lens. The built-in stabilization in this lens saves a lot of shots! As I said, this is my go-to lens. When I get up and walk, I don't usually use a tripod. Because of my historical experience, I know how many shots I have to take to get a usable one. When I use this lens, that number drops significantly. I know that people who are passionate about their non-Sony lenses downplay the importance of stabilization. I get it, I love my Sigma lens on this camera, but I can't tell you how great it is to have the added benefit of stabilization. This applies to both moving images and photographs. Personally, I think this lens belongs in your pocket!
