Review on HORI The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Limited Edition Accessory Set for Nintendo Switch: Officially Licensed by Nintendo & Bethesda by Douglas Coronado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Got it for the slim body! That's great!

I was looking for a slim case that would protect my switch from scratches and minor bumps, but still fit in the pocket/compartment of my tech bag. To my disappointment, all of the falls were huge at launch! I found this recently and it works great. The polishing cloth is beautiful and useful. Clear snap-on joycon covers are good, but can cause galling at the connection points. There's really no protection against this with plastic on plastic, and the mated segments fit snugly to the surface of the joycon with no gap. In any case, I've decided to keep my Gel Guards because I like the secure grip they give and the extra contour on the back of the controllers they give. I've also purchased and installed a glass screen protector and hate film screen protectors in general, so I don't use the one that comes with it. It's a bit of a waste of time and I wish they would have included something else but I can see why they did. The leather playing card case is a nice bonus too, it looks very high quality and if you turn the cartridges sideways they are fully protected and won't smudge! This kit meets my needs perfectly, hence 5 stars. My complaint is that the price is too high. $15-20 would be reasonable, but after all it's officially licensed by Nintendo ($$$). EDIT: The Splatoon version of this pack is $19.99 I thought. This one includes the same case design, two thumb covers, and what looks like a squid playing card case. The caps are probably worth a buck, the only thing different is the two plastic Joy-Con caps on the Zelda version. They don't cost $10.

Pros
