As soon as I opened the package I figured it was him. The build quality of the mount is excellent. The claws are high enough to hold my phone with a thick case. However, as soon as I placed the phone in the holder, I immediately saw the problem. The handle does not squeeze the claws together. Just lock her up. The spring that pulls the claws closer is not strong enough to hold the phone for a long time. I think the manufacturer may have recognized the problem and provided a solution in the form of rubber bands to secure the phone. If I wanted to use these straps I wouldn't spend $25 to buy this expensive mount. There is another issue like the lack of rotation but I may be aware of that and could live without it. I am returning the item.
