I collect unique USB keys and this was one of a number of wooden keys I tried. I bought enough USB dongles online that turned out to be junk, so I test ALL on day one. I'm no wood expert but I would guess it's solid pine rather than glued chipboard but strong enough to resist dents and hold its shape. The USB dongle has a nice guitar shape with parts carved into a small dent and stain (think heated stencil). The key is held together with the cap by two sets of small magnets. In my opinion, a wooden gift box goes perfectly with it, which accommodates the item perfectly and is also held together by two magnets. This combination is perfect for displaying family photos or music and as a gift.
