While these coats may be great for a female dog, there's no room for peeing in a male's anatomy. Yes, there are lined sections that need to be cut and drilled. However, the cape doesn't sit properly on the stomach, the fabric moves and the urine doesn't always come out of the cape, uh. One option is to add an elastic band to the cape so it can stay in place under the male. Too much work and not always effective. I also ordered two raincoats and both were covered in dog hair all over the velcro - apparently both of these items have been used and returned. So I ordered two more and they were in a different type of fabric. This new fabric is non-breathable, white on the inside which does not match the image in the product description, and looks like latex rubber on your dog. Most dogs will overheat very quickly in this new coat. The original fabric was breathable. No, a cape made from the original fabric would suit a woman, but the design just doesn't suit a man. And with the new cheaper non-breathable fabric, all bets are off.
