I have read many reviews of various products and seen some reviews on locking pulleys. on, but it also had the most positive reviews. Some of the other products I looked at cost $100 and had similar negative reviews, so I decided to take a chance and buy a cheaper one instead of spending more money. Big mistake. This product does not work and I declare that the positive reviews either never installed this product or were created by employees. I installed the product between two trees and moved the reel to another tree to determine where to stop. idiots. Tried to rotate the pulley manually along the line. It only moves when held straight down and gently moved along the line. In other words, it works (easily) in such a way that no dog will ever run. If he's leaning in at all, like a dog would) or moving fast, he's completely restrained. The product literally doesn't work. It's not a kink or a bad cable, I move the reel and at some point in the line it gets stuck as it moves, like a dog. I tried hooking the dog to be sure and yes YANK won't move. Really annoying that they even sell this product that doesn't work out of the box.
