These amazing things! I ran 180 feet Cat6 straight burial into the woods behind my current home and up a tree about 20 feet. We just built a new house on the same lot about ΒΌ mile up the hill surrounded by woods. I connected the 1st LiteBeam to the router in the downstairs house and then mounted it to the tree by bolting it to the 2x4 and piping it to the tree. I hooked up a second LiteBeam to a router at our new house on the hill (see photo) and ran 60ft of Cat6 to our utility pole. The bracket can be screwed to a wood stud with a regular drywall screw. I just aligned each one with my eye even though I have no line of sight. Trees are in bloom between them and they are about 800 feet apart. I set the lower one to the station via the app and the upper one to the AP without refining the alignment via the app (which is very cool by the way), there is a 600Mbps transmission between them and the signal fell not 1 time out of 10 days. I've tried this before with 2 omnidirectional repeaters and the connection dropped every hour or more. These LiteBeams are SO good, I can't believe they are so cheap!
