Review on πŸ”ͺ Bahco 2-Inch Replacement Scraper Blade #442 - Durable and Heavy-Duty Option for Enhanced Scraping Efficiency by Ramon Hood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Out of competition well suited for power tools and hand tools.

. I've tried all brands of replacement knives, including Sandvik (the second after them) and Hyde (junk), as well as several other knives with the name of the month. Bahco blades are by far the best, they last many times longer than others. There are many hard metal compounds, some more brittle, some more elastic and fine-grained. I just scraped off part of a 210 year old house, most of the ORIGINAL paint still held, it looked like epoxy, I'm not kidding. I've often hammered nails, which is always the case in old houses, and after 4 hours of very careful scraping, the blade wasn't worn out. Unbelievable. I can build a whole house with one of these blades, it's worth it. Oh, and you can grind them into diamond stones if you're smart. Also, they have a very slight curve on the edge, which is very helpful, especially when there is a bowl on the skin.

Pros
  • Robust construction.
Cons
  • . Band
