Fantastic value radio that is reliable and meets many needs. The first aid organization I work with has about 30 of these radios. They're easy to program, easy to maintain, and incredibly durable. Once we lost one of these in a mosh pit and the radio was found without a single scratch. He survived being trampled and kicked for over 3 hours. The radio was in perfect condition. We've tested this radio in harsh conditions, even dropping one of the two floors onto the pavement with no damage to the radio. The only problem we ever had was that he completely forgot his basic program and walled him in. This happened only once out of 30 radio stations. If you're looking for a cheap alternative to expensive business band radios, consider the 888s. These are fantastic little radios at a rock bottom price.
