Not the best feature if you're in a .

It's hard to beat for the money, easy to use, has a wide price range and requires minimal instructions. The only "feature" that knocks the star off is that the radio announces very loudly which channel you're on every time you change channels. Not the best feature when you need to change channels in a quiet environment.

Wow Pretty good radio good price

This unit can be used at home. I use it for private purposes. My sister was at the foot of the gondola in Keyston and I was up the mountain and found clear reception when programmed to high power. It didn't come with any programming software, but it did come with it when I bought the programming cable. Of course, I bought a mandatory GMRS license from the FCC to keep everything legal. :-)

  • Great for outdoor activities

Great radio! Good price!

This is a great little radio! Extremely easy to use and program. No problem hitting long range amateur radio repeaters. Great radio so far! ****Update ***** Okay. I've been using this radio for a few months now and I have to say I'm absolutely delighted. I have compared this radio to other radio amateurs and it works better. Perhaps the most shocking comparison is this radio station with my Hytera PD782G. smoke it! I don't know if this is the standard Hytera's smaller antenna or what, but the…

Good radio, bad charger

Great radio for the price. It's a little difficult to code, but Chirp supports it now. I programmed them for GMRS and we use them in the field. I used the earpiece in my helmet when riding a motorcycle or quad. We all enjoy staying in touch. I bought 6 of these radios and 2 of them came with bad chargers. The loading process is quite weak. I believe radios will outlive their chargers. Which worries me a bit. I also bought 2 battery rectifiers for them and 2 UHF/VHF antennas with a tram magnet…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons

Cheap and Durable

Fantastic value radio that is reliable and meets many needs. The first aid organization I work with has about 30 of these radios. They're easy to program, easy to maintain, and incredibly durable. Once we lost one of these in a mosh pit and the radio was found without a single scratch. He survived being trampled and kicked for over 3 hours. The radio was in perfect condition. We've tested this radio in harsh conditions, even dropping one of the two floors onto the pavement with no damage to the

So far, so good! best in portable audio and video

At the moment it seems that they will work quite well as the link between the driver of the vehicle dealing with the camper trailer and his/her manager. Good volume. I'm not sure what we're going to use the flashlight function for. One thing to pay special attention to is that the title description says "walkie-talkies" (plural). Read the rest carefully and you'll see that for the price you only get ONE - a walkie-talkie (singular). I had to order a second one as I was in a rush and didn't read

Great radios at a great price.

This product was purchased for our security team at our church and given the great price we were very pleased with its performance. We bought 11 in total. They have a long range and we don't have any communication problems in our large three story facility and campus. They are very easy to use and hold a charge well. The only issue we have is that they could be a little more durable. We had belt and antenna clips but the parts were inexpensive and easy to find and replace and the headphones…

Corrections to some false claims

Corrections to published data are in order. Firstly, some sellers claim it is 5W power. When you receive your radio and read the manual, look at the manufacturer's label under the battery or visit any of the websites (Baoffeng bf888s, Retevis h777, Pofung 888s, all the same radios), you will find that the transmit power is listed below. ≤ 5W, which literally means "less than or equal to 5W", NOT 5W! This is a completely non-binding statement. It can be 500mW, 1W, 2W or whatever, at or below 5W…
