This product has met or even exceeded expectations. It was easy to assemble as it was 95% assembled! (Thanks!) There were instructions in "funky" English, like so many products now. I haven't even tried the alternative axis (it's not called that and I can't find directions, but you'll see what I mean when you buy it). It was easy to assemble without using that extra part. I suggest you try to get it working with this alternative snippet first. It operates quietly, which worries me the most. However, I see where it can be louder with thicker tread tires. I can easily watch TV while driving. It makes a robust and well-made impression. I decided to spend a little more on this product rather than buying the cheapest version (my usual temptation!) and I'm glad I did. I used another trainer (TREK) and built another one. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to others.
