The Versablast is another lightweight running shoe from Asics that is great for both walking and long-distance runs. Because the outsole provides ample cushioning with every part of the foot when it hits the ground, it will appeal to heel strikers as well as ball kickers. - designed and comfortable for medium to long distances (my longest run was 15 miles). I rode almost 400 miles in these shoes before taking them off, but I have to say that after about 300 miles I realized that the sole had shrunk to the point where it wasn't as springy or comfortable as it was in new condition so I probably should have checked them out much sooner but to consistently judge my shoes I wanted to control the distance. The upper is lightweight and mostly mesh. When tightening the laces, I didn't notice any "bottlenecks" around the foot; With some brands and models, the design of the shoe puts pressure on my foot at certain points where the laces are tight - there was nothing like that with these shoes. The sock dries very quickly which reduced the weight of the shoe as the mileage increased and I liked that the shoe didn't absorb moisture or trap sweat. Overall, the shoe was versatile enough for long runs or short sprints. So if style and versatility are what you're after, grab a pair and go!
