Surprisingly Good!: Boxing Gloves

This purchase was made for my wife. I'm a boxer and I use expensive $200 gloves for training. So I'm picky. I wanted to buy something for my wife so she could protect her hands and add some weight/resistance to her cardio workout at home. We decided to start with the Everlasts just to see if she likes boxing and wants to compete in it. They proved to be very well built and protective. Ventilation is good and they don't give off odors unless you leave them inside (like in a gym bag). The padding is well distributed. The material is quite durable (though not as good as leather). My wife is 5ft 6in, weighs 110lbs and she fits snugly in an 8 ounce glove with no wraps. If you hit the sack, use bandages and choose bigger gloves. Although these are "cheap" gloves, they are very suitable for someone. If you're starting out in boxing, quality leather gloves in the $50-$80 range are your next step. But I can recommend it as a start. She is proud to own them and they encourage them to keep active.
