This is the second of these cameras that I have purchased. In both cases the reason was the same. The first was to install an upgraded stereo system with backup camera and speakerphone on my son's 2002 Jeep Liberty, along with other modern data and music references. It worked well and after 6 months it is still working well. I chose this camera for the particular reason that it's adjustable enough to be used on the tailgate of that old mini SUV with the spare tire mounted in the back and the license plate styles just don't show enough room. . For all of the above reasons, I buy the same hose for a 2004 Honda CR-V that I buy for a tractor-truck to tow behind our RV and the media is out of date as is the case with the Jeep Liberty. This is the answer for those "hard to find the right spot", non-adjustable cameras where you don't need perfect image quality, but the quality is still pretty good. This is done in the name of security, and this standard is now used for secure support. The instructions aren't the best, but if you look through them enough you'll get the hang of them, except for the instructions on what type of wire you might need or need to cut, which weren't found in the box but in an Amazon post.
