It is compact but terribly designed for use of space. The to is supposed to have a rod to use hangers but they bump into the hooks. It would be better with a shelf on top. The hooks shown in picture are lower than they appear so your jacket, coat all land on the 1st shelf - which makes the shelf useless. It';s not sturdy enough to hold a bag or backpack on a hook and the top shelf is covered. Not worth the $. I would have returned but the cardboard it was packed in already went to recycling. I'm going for a separate shoe rack (that can put high boots) and wall mounted hooks for coats and bags. This I will donate and hopefully someone can use it.
