Review on Spicer 5 1350X U Joint Kit by Robert Ewing

I swear by Spicer Gimbals, they're original for a reason. I've installed other brands as a last resort and they never fit perfectly or last that long. I first installed them on my 95 F-250 in 2004, replacing a pair of two year old precision pivots. The rear shaft still has those pivot points to this day, 90,000 miles later. I've mounted them on the front axles on many trucks and haven't had to replace them yet, all trucks have done 45,000-80,000 miles on these pivots. Do I have to say more? Perfect fit, pre-lubricated and never needs lubrication. The only flaw is that the O-ring only seals once. If the rig is not perfectly centered, it will crack and allow water to enter the joint. Of course, you can never disassemble the connection, so the type of strap is essential for gluing the cross so that the caps don't fall off before you install the straps. I used 1350 and 1410 and they are identical in size.
