Review on πŸ”΅ Akebono Grey EUR1322 Front Brake Pad by Steven Wood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent brakes, very satisfied

Would you like to upgrade to 3.5 years? Of course you do! I've put over 40,000 miles on these pads (but again, with Houston accounting for a lot of those miles), and they're just starting to warn me of "grinding." So of course I came back to find out more. Yes! I can love my Audi A4 in winter! My OEM was one of those years where temperatures dropped below 42 degrees due to ridiculous screeching. I mean, if you haven't heard what these OEMs are capable of, you wouldn't believe it. Slow stops, hard stops, it didn't matter and I was embarrassed as hell that my absolutely amazing car sounded like that. I came across an Audi message board talking about this issue and someone mentioned that these Akebono are quiet and have comparable brakes so thought I'd give it a try. SO HAPPY. They feel a little softer than the original pads but are still of excellent quality. I am very satisfied with the performance and the price. ETA: Husband said installation was quick and as another reviewer pointed out, we were happy the sensor came with pads. ETA2: After a recent trip to Houston, which is known for its incredible traffic (and crazy drivers), I take back the "little softer" comment, or at least I have to say that these brake pads are absolutely AMAZING in stop-and-go are traffic. Houston is basically "go through 90 again/STOP/go through 90!" and I had no problem with that.
